An hour of therapeutic movement can not make up for 23 hours of destructive / faulty movement or positioning.
This extended, 2-part workshop, is phenomenal and critical for all levels - whether experiencing back pain, as well as those who wish to keep it at bay. A very smart, accessible approach for all level of students and movement practitioners, Leslee blends yoga with physical therapy moves she has learned through her own journey keeping sports injuries and genetic predisposition at bay, and then recently navigating out of a severe back symptom flaring period. She focuses on moves that are evidence-based, safe, anatomy, and injury informed to strengthen the lower back and full posterior chain. This helps correct poor movement patterns by addressing mechanical imbalances and weaknesses. Interesting, relevant anatomy is shared with three dimensional visual aids that make understanding our mechanics and our dysfunctions even easier. Then anatomy principles are explored in movement and breath - all designed within living a "no pain zone". Color handout also provided for reference and take home. All levels welcome.
